2nd Annual “Opening Doors to Affordable Housing” Benefit Concert

Join 300+ of your fellow REALTORs, affiliates, friends, family and community members for an unforgettable evening of live music, community, and purpose.

“Opening Doors to Affordable Housing” Benefit Concert — Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 5:00-8:30pm at Pro Re Nata. Tickets are $50 each and include food, music and one free drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Proceeds from the concert will benefit the CAAR Foundation's Homeownership Navigators Program, empowering lower-income families with the guidance and resources they need to achieve the dream of first-time homeownership.

Please join the CAAR Foundation for our next Lunch & Learn, on Virginia Housing — Tuesday, September 15, from 11:45am-1:00pm in the Hillsdale Conference Center Ballroom at CAAR (550 Hillsdale Dr.)

Frank Webster, Business Development Officer for Virginia Housing, will be our speaker.

In a market where potential homebuyers face many challenges to accessing affordable homeownership and generational wealth building, Virginia Housing provides ample assistance to help lower the initial costs and monthly payments for many eligible borrowers.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  • Who is Virginia Housing and how can assistance be accessed?

  • Who is eligible for Virginia Housing’s products and programs?

  • What types of Homebuyer Education are available?

  • What types of assistance are available to help lower initial outlays of downpayments and closing costs?

  • What types of assistance are available to help reduce monthly mortgage payments?

Attending this session will be a significant step towards helping a client become Mortgage Ready in the quest for finding affordable homeownership!
